In pictures: The best of the rest of 2012
Just like last year, I’ve taken hundred of photos over the year – way more than I could ever manage to use on this site. So to end the year, I’ve chosen a selection of my favourite photos from the past year that I never quite managed to fit into a blog post. The ‘best of the rest of 2012′ photos take us from the slopes of Méribel-Mottaret back at the start of the year, all the way through to the Titanic Exhibition in Belfast last weekend. Hope you enjoy them, and wishing you all a great New Year’s Eve and a fantastic 2013! Lucy x

Wow! Some really beautiful images. Love, love, love the photo of the pilots!
Thanks, that was at the Goodwood Revival vintage event and they looked so at home up there, it could’ve been in the 1950s!
These pictures are stunning, superb. I would like to pick out a favourite, but that would be almost impossible.
Thanks – and thanks for visiting my site, I’ve just been checking out some of your Asia posts and they bring back lots of good memories. Have a great New Year.
Thanks, and you too!
The picture of the new Titanic Exhibition building really intrigues me. I’ll make sure to visit that place when I happen to be in Belfast one day. Have a great year ahead!
It was a really interesting building, and the exhibition was fascinating too – I’ll have a full post on it coming up soon. Have a great New Year too.
the image of the pilots and also the dead sea are great!
Thanks, I’ve got lots more Dead Sea shots to come too! Have a great New Year.
My favourite has to be the sunset on the buildings in Rome.
Thanks, we’d just been taking photos of the Colosseum and spotted these buildings on the way back and loved the colours.
how beautiful!!
Thanks, it was nice to have an excuse to dig back into my photos from the year!
They are all beautiful, but i think my favorite is the sunset over the Dead Sea.
Thanks – the reflection really made that shot, I was lucky to get such an amazingly calm evening!
Ah, you’ve got my lovely Dead Sea shot in there, but Andrew’s right. Those buildings in Rome look antiquated in the nicest way. You should link this to the WP photo challenge this week, Luce.
Oh yes, it ties in well with the ‘My 2012 in pictures’ theme for the photo challenge doesn’t it! Keep meaning to try and do more of these photo challenges so this’ll be my first go!
looking towards Vesuvius is awesome! Wow!
Thanks, the weather was really strange and hazy that day so I messed about with processing the photo in different ways and really liked it in black and white.
Really nice photos and I am impressed that you got to see all those places in a year. Lovely!
Thanks, yes it’s been a great year and hopefully lots more to come next year!
Gorgeous pictures, Lucy! Especially the one of mount Vesuvius and the one of the Dead Sea have taken my breath away! Congrats and keep posting next year!
Thanks, I have finally finishing going through all my Jordan photos so will have more of the Dead Sea to come! Hope you have a great New Year.
Wow Lucy! You have some great shots here, it is hard to choose a favourite. I love the pilots, sunset and the boats in Capri. Happy New Year to you too!
Thanks Ardun, I really enjoyed going through them all as there’s always a few that don’t quite fit into a blog post! Hope you had a great Christmas and a very happy New Year.
I’m loving all your photos, but I do love the pilots at Goodwood the most (hard to choose). Hope you’ve had a great Christmas and I look forward to following your 2013 travels! Happy New Year!
Thanks, I love Goodwood Revival, it a great place to take photos with such amazing costumes. Hope you had a fantastic Christmas and a great New Year with lots of travels to come too!
Oh My!! It’s superb to describe your vacation with three words……(Sunset in Paris, Harbour in Capri, Bay of Naples)…..Love It!
Who needs a longer caption, eh!
Beautiful shots – I especially like the Dead Sea image
Thanks, we were a bit disappointed that neither evening was clear while we were there but I’ve grown to like the clouds as you get all those interesting patterns of light.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful pictures. Have a happy New Year!
Thanks Gerard, hope you had a great New Year’s Eve and a fabulous year to come!
Hope to see more pictures of country’s from you in 2013!
Happy new year to everybody!
Hoping for a few new countries to be photographing next year too! Have a great 2013.
Brilliant photos. Looking forward to 2013′s pictures from you.
Thanks – some news on where they will be coming from to come tomorrow! Have a very happy New Year.
You know, that’s pretty impressive that these are your second string images
. Lovely shots. I particularly enjoy that high key black and white one of the Bay of Naples.
Ha ha, they were more the ones that didn’t quite fit in with any of the blog posts I did so it’s good to have an excuse to give them an outing!
Wow…great photo collection Luce. Outstanding year!
Thanks Anita, looking forward to trying to beat it in 2013! Have a great year.
Last one is stunning! Have a great 2013!
Thanks, we were hoping for a sunny day but the clouds really make the shot in the end. Hope you have a great 2013 too!
I just love the picture of the pilots! <3
